Brian’s work in the golf industry began in 1989 at the age of 13 as a caddy in Southern New Jersey where he grew up in the game and progressed through a very successful junior career. Brian then attended the Professional Golf Management program at Coastal Carolina University where he also participated on the golf team. In 1998 he moved back to the greater Philadelphia area and started his career in the management of golf facilities and teaching golf. Since then, his travels and experience include four years in Myrtle Beach, SC before finally settling down with Ratcliffe Golf Services Inc. in Charlotte, NC in 2003.
Brian has been a General Manager with RGS Inc. since 2004 and has been the General Manager/ Head Golf Professional at Renaissance Park since 2008. He is also a class "A” member of the PGA. Brian’s training in teaching has included extensive experience with two former PGA Section Teacher of the Year Award Winners. Brian is now a proponent of A.J. Golf and teaches the game from the physiological prospective. His methods are based on countless years of scientific studies that break the game down into the essential parts that can be manipulated. By taking advantage of the natural motions and capabilities of the human body, and harnessing the immense powers of hand eye coordination, Brian makes learning the game fun and easy. Brian has studied A.J. Golf since 2007 under the watchful eye of A.J. disciple Allen Avakian.
Since 1998, Brian has given over 1,000 individual lessons, 500 clinics and group lessons, and is fast approaching 1,000 Link up 2 Golf/ Get Golf Ready in 5 Days sessions. Brian’s calm demeanor, and unwavering patience, helps to make him an excellent fit for beginning golfers. Brian also specializes in Women’s instructional programs and clinics.

You know him as the director of the Mecklenburg Junior Golf Association, but Wesley Jones is a long-time golf enthusiast. The general manager of the Dr. Charles L. Sifford course played his first round of golf on his 13th birthday (although he’d been a miniature golf addict for years before that). Although he’s also known to play soccer and tennis, Jones is a fan of the challenge and immediate feedback of a quality shot. The Oregon-native, who graduated from Willamette University, encourages young golfers to enjoy the game. “Don’t get too technical,” he says.
Taryn Wolford is the Assistant Golf Professional at Renaissance Park, and a PGA Class “A” Member since March 2015. It’s fun to meet new people, she says. “I also enjoy being outside, and how every course brings different but fun challenges.”
